Rachael Ray's sparkling personalityRachael Ray has turned to two hemispheres for food-pairing wine picks in August. Domaine Ste. Michelle's NV Blanc de Noirs and the Greg Norman Estates sparkling Pinot Noir/Chardonnay were The Omnipresent One's selections for bubbly. She suggested pork chops, tuna burgers and steamed shrimp with these selections. (Seafood is an easy call for a wine "made" by a guy called "The Shark.") It's nice to see DSM continue to get love for the Blanc de Noirs, my pick for the best of Rick Casqueiro's wines - and maybe the finest bubbly in the Northwest. The wine is made with Yakima Valley Pinot Noir, a grape Casqueiro's crew will begin picking in the next three weeks. By aperdue at Aug 15 2008 - 10:38am | sparkling wine | aperdue's blog | 613 reads
