A taste of B.C. by the BaySince first sip, we've been fans of Joie Wines in Naramata, British Columbia. In the next few weeks, patrons of Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif., will have the opportunity to discover the joy of some of the finest wines to come out of the Okanagan Valley. According to Joie's newsletter, the iconic Northern California restaurant that defines "local" will serve Joie Rosé by the glass this summer. Almost makes me wish I lived in California. Just kidding, but it does make me wonder why it is so difficult to get B.C. wines south of the 49th parallel when, apparently, it can show up in the heart of California wine country. That's another rant for another day.
