Purple Cafe to expand to Bellevue

Purple Cafe and Wine Bar has announced it will open three new restaurants in Bellevue. Owner Larry Kurofsky will open his fourth Purple Cafe at Bellevue Towers in November, followed by two other restaurants in January.

Bellevue Towers is home to high-rise luxury condos. Kurofsky has secured 16,000 square feet of street-level space in the condos.

Kurofsky launched the first Purple Cafe in 2001 in Woodinville, expanded to Kirkland in 2003, then to Seattle in 2006. One of his new restaurants at Bellevue Towers will be called Barrio and will combine Northwest style with Mexican cuisine. The third restaurant has yet to be named but will focus on fresh-baked goods, espresso and drinks.
