The Wine Knows

It's been a year since we launched this blog. The purposes and goals I started with a year ago remain today:

-- Provide a way to have a conversation with readers of Wine Press Northwest (the magazine, the Web site and the weekly email newsletter).

-- Offer a forum for wine lovers to discuss Northwest wine, food and travel destinations.

-- Have a way to communicate news and information that happens more quickly than the weekly email newsletter or doesn't quite fit the format of the newsletter or magazine.

The community here is growing, and more folks feel comfortable stepping up and talking about their experiences. The multiple comments on my item about barrel-tasting weekends are testament to that. These are the kinds of conversations that can change the way the Northwest wine industry works because I know many wine-industry folks read my items and your comments.
