The Wine Knows

For the past half-decade, a group known as the Washington Wine Ambassadors has worked diligently to promote Washington wine by volunteering at events. It has been a wonderful program and has operated under the umbrella of the Washington Wine Commission.

(And through the years, Wine Press Northwest has supported the program by providing complimentary subscriptions to Ambassadors.)

Now, it would seem, the program is going away, according to this note on the organization's Web site. It seems that the program and its 1,300 members also bring liability issues, thus it is being dissolved.

However, according to the Woodinville Wine Update blog, there is a possibility that a new organization will rise from its ashes.

Let's hope so, as the Washington Wine Ambassadors is a program worth saving.
